Heaven Solomon, Wabanaki B.Ed
Language and Culture Coordinator
Heaven Solomon is the Language and Culture Coordinator for Neqotkuk. She is dedicated to supporting Wolastoqey language and cultural initiatives. She works to bring people together, strengthen language efforts, and help develop a long-term vision for revitalization.
With a background in education and language learning, Heaven is passionate about community involvement and ensuring that language and culture remain a vibrant part of daily life. She values the knowledge of Elders, the contributions of community members, and the importance of creating opportunities for future generations to connect with their heritage.
Darrah (Pine) Beaver
M.A., Ph.D. (candidate)
Darrah is Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) from Neqotkuk (Tobique) First Nation, Canada. With over 25 years of experience in First Nations policy, she excels in project management, conflict resolution, land claim negotiation, public engagement, and educational program development at local, regional, and national levels. Drawing on her work with the federal government and the Assembly of First Nations, Darrah embraces a community-driven approach to public policy and consultation. She holds a Master of Arts in Conflict Studies and is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of New Brunswick (Education), focusing on Wolastoqey language revitalization.
